HAVING read with interest the views of Maffi Oxford and Keith Gudgeon 'The ice and Wind problem', I do find it incomprehensible what Maffi Oxford tells, writes Peter Ponting.
He writes: 'I am a great one for having people obey the rules, but sometimes the rules interfere with needs'.
Not for him
If this person is not capable of seeing weather forecasts up to seven days in advance, and plan his journey accordingly, then in my opinion, narrowboating is not for him.
To state that rules are made, only to be broken, would make me very concerned of meeting this person when they are in control of a motor vehicle.
