THE MONMOUTHSHIRE & BRECON CANAL has been closed due to a 'small breach'.
Resulting in the navigation being closed between Solomon's Bridge 47 and Jockey Bridge 55.
It is told that there is a valve failure in the bed of the waterway along this section of the canal.
Stop planks
The teams have inserted stop planks at the these bridges to drain the water to allow inspection.
Engineers are on site this morning to discover the fault and to discover what repairs are required.
