TEENAGER Jordan Munroe, who can today be named for the first time, was responsible for seven attacks on the Birmingham Canal towpath, and is now locked-up for 12 months in a young offenders institution.

The 15 years old was also handed a two years Criminal Anti-social Behaviour Order, as was another 14 years old teenager who was responsible for three assaults, and was ordered to pay £750 compensation to his three victims, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Pushed into canal

Munroe had admitted four assaults, including pushing two pensioners into the waterway on the Wolverhampton 21 Flight. He admitted causing actual bodily harm to another victim, who suffered a broken knee cap, after he was also pushed into the canal.

Christopher Fitzgerald told the court he was cycling when he was pushed off his bike into the water. The boys offered to help him out, but instead kicked him in the chest.

Would die

Seven days later Bernard Brennan was pushed by the teenagers into the waterway. He told he feared he wouldn't get out of the water and would die.

It was stated by the prosecution that the pair caused fear and disruption. They put fear in the public at large.
