A MAN WHO WAS HOMELESS has been jailed for more than seven years after setting fire to his former friend's narrowboat.
That was moored on the Oxford Canal, Janet Friend reports.

Oxford Crown Court was shown CCTV that clearly shows Tim Fish arriving below Duke's Cut Locks with a jerry can.
He was shown setting fire to ex-friend Max Lamb's boat who was inside, the pair having fell out some two years previously.
A statement was read out to the Court with Max Lamb stating:
"Since the fire I have felt exposed on the boat and hyper-aware.
"I will probably sell my mooring when Mr Fish is released.
"I now have little trust in people. The damage will run into thousands of pounds.
"Money I don't have."
10 years restraining order
Tim Fish, was handed an extended sentence of seven years and three months plus a restraining order for 10 years to not contact the victim or go to Duke's Cut on the Oxford Canal.
