CaRT don't have the money

I KNOW it is the thing at the moment to complain about the state of the waterways, but the complainers seem  to miss one thing, and that is that Canal & River Trust just do not have the money.

CaRT lost interest

I agree with James Henry that Canal & River Trust has lost interest in its core responsibility, and not only its neglect of maintenance but also of its control of illegal mooring.

Like the others who write on the internet I too know of boats that move just about half a mile and back again every fortnight to fiddle their supposed continuous cruising, with nothing done about them though I and I know of two others who have complained.

What next to spend our money on?

After cyclists, canoeists and now giving up nearly a 1,000 acres of our waterways for nature that James Henry writes about, and don't let us forget the potty 'poetry' on lock gates, hundreds of 'welcome' notices and even notices for ducks to read, I just wonder what will be the next hare-brained scheme conjured-up by CaRT to spend our money on?

CaRT has lost interest in it core responsibility

I FIRMLY believe that Canal & River Trust  has either completely forgotten, or more likely is no longer interested in its core responsibility of looking after the waterways for boaters, writes James Henry.

Okay for some...

TODAY I was told unceremoniously by Great Haywood Marina to leave the marina because I breached their terms and conditions for trying to sell my boat whilst still in the marina, writes Peter Cooley.
