These will include such as St John Ambulance boats, including such as Mountbatten Crusader (pictured) that is operated by St John Ambulance Northamptonshire, and is usually found moored at Blisworth Marina on the Grand Union Canal.

St. Pancras Cruising Club will have a number of narrowboats taking part, its members being of course familiar with the Thames.

The sea cadets will be represented with their own boats and many from the various charities with the Inland Waterways Association's Quercus, and even British Waterways Waterscape making a rare appearance.

1,000 boats
