THERE IS TO BE A floating market this week-end on the Shropshire Union Canal.
This will be by the Barbridge Inn near Nantwich, Janet Friend reports.
The 2025 market attracted a variety of traders selling goods from their boats, giving visitors the chance to browse while walking along the canal towpath.
From 10am to 5pm
This year’s Barbridge market will run from 10am until 5pm on Saturday and Sunday from boats moored between Bremilow’s Bridge and Goodwin Bridge.
Visitor moorings between the two bridges are now temporarily suspended until Monday to accommodate the event.
Its traders offer a wide variety of products and services, ranging from handmade arts, crafts and gifts to cakes, preserves, refreshments and other food and drink.
