Email: Victor is wrong

Over the holiday I accepted an invitation by a resident at Sawley Marina to take a cruise for a couple of days up the Trent & Mersey Canal, as my own boat being at Bedford, I don't get chance of using the canals, and though it was rather windy, my wife and I still had an enjoyable time, that was increased by an excellent meal at Ragley Boat Stop. One thing my friend pointed out and showed me that Victor Swift was wrong in saying there were six empty berths in the residents section, and he took me through the gate to show me there were now 14 empty berths there, showing me also that all the stuff such as television aerials and personal stuff had been removed from the jetties. Though there were more empty berths, those had aerials and things left suggesting they had just gone out for something.

I thought the marina was quite good though, with excellent facilities for the residents, my friend showing me the toilet block and electric and water at every berth and dustbin collection.  It was also very secure I thought, much better than my moorings at Bedford.  But don't they like signs?  There were hundreds of them, and my friend told me that Victor Swift was going to count them, but perhaps he lost count as nothing has been said.
