Another Regents lock fails

FOLLOWING the failure of Hawley Lock on the Regents Canal, another has failed.

This is Hampstead Road Lock 1A that has been closed closed due to a mechanical fault, Keith Gudgin reports.

We are told this cannot be attended to until early next week after the investigation that discovered the issue with one of the gates.

However Hawley Lock on the Regents (pictured) has now had its mechanical fault attended to and now reopened.

Dunns Lock that was closed as Canal & River Trust tell a boat hit a lock gate with force knocking it out of its mounting has been attended to.  It is now open for navigation.

And the Wink is now no longer on the blink, with Winkwell Swing Bridge repaired and again the navigation reopened.
