AN 85 YEARS OLD MAN clung to a tree after being stuck in a the flooded Weaver.
This enabled him to be rescued, Janet Friend reports.
With the police using a drone to locate exactly where he was in the river.

It was thermal images that revealed his location in the Weaver in Winsford, after Cheshire Police received reports he was held fast in the trees.
The information was passed to firefighters who were then able to locate the man and rescue him then transfer him to the care of paramedics.
It was the drone that was so important in the rescue it was told.
