Unable to remedy fault on Aire & Calder

THE Aire & Calder Navigation Main Line is closed  at Whitley Lock (12).

A power pack has failed making the lock inoperable, Keith Gudgin reports.

Investigate

The Mechanical & Engineering Team have been to investigate but found it was not repairable so the lock remains closed.

However it is hoped to be able to repair the power pack today, Wednesday, if all goes well, and the navigation reopened.
