THERE were two more stoppages over the weekend to start the week.
The Regent's Canal is closed at City Road Lock (5), with its gate paddle failing, Keith Gudgin reports.
This time the 'team' is involved so it is hoped to get it fixed today, Monday.
The South Oxford Canal is also closed at Kidlington Green Lock (43), this time the trust tell it was 'due to boat impact causing significant damage to the bottom end lock gate beam'.
However it is not told how a boat managed to damage a gate beam, but they have however closed the lock on safety grounds on Sunday afternoon, and it is now padlocked shut.
