No Stratford River Festival this year

THE popular Stratford River Festival is an early 2021 boating event to be cancelled as a result of coronavirus, writes Roger Fox.

The news came just 24 hours after one of the most famous festivals in the world fell on its sword too—Glastonbury, will not happen in 2021 either.

One of the highlights

In early July, tens of thousands descend on Stratford for the award winning River Festival which is regarded as one of the highlights of the town's summer calendar.

Surely many more similar events on canals and rivers are likely to be cancelled?  The unavailability of cancellation insurance is likely to be the decider for organisers.
