'Narrow' closed again!

THE Huddersfield Narrow Canal closures, according to social media, is now a big joke!

Just after managing to solve the draining of the first Huddersfield pound it is closed again, by a broken lock, Keith Gudgin reports.

Inoperable

This occurred yesterday, Thursday, and Lock 27W is closed as the heal post on the balance beam has given way, making the lock inoperable. 

There is no intimation when it will be repaired, but continuing stoppages being caused by broken gates, empty pounds and silt are making this waterway a regular discussion amongst boaters on social media, alas, all detrimental as the waterway has been closed many times.
