A HUGE part of the parapet of the bridge over the Avon ant Bradford-on Avon has been smashed by a car, with debris in the river.
Boaters are being warned to take care when passing under the bridge as huge chunks of masonry have fallen into the river causing obstruction, Alan Tilbury tells us.
Stolen Mercedes
A stolen Mercedes C160 crashed into the parapet at 3am in the morning, even though the road was completely clear, with the driver escaping as the car rested on the edge.
Though not too bad for boaters it is causing havoc in the town as one way traffic signals are now in operation with the closure of a nearby road for repairs. It is expected that the bridge will be repaired at the end of this month.
