IT WAS a long civil court case that caused Andrew Bell to close his café situated by the weir on the Avon in Bath, but is open once again.
The court case was due to problems with the lease on the building overlooking the weir, but has now been solved, Alan Tilbury tells us.
Forced to close
The café is not only used by walkers and joggers but by boaters from the visitor mooring below the weir in the city, but was forced to close last November with problems over the lease, with Andrew telling the Bath Chronicle 'it had been eight months of hell'.
He believes however that his former loyal customers will return and call for drinks or a meal and he will eventually get his business back, believing that people should support Bath's independent businesses.
The Riverside Café serves breakfast and dinner in the evenings from Thursday to Saturday.
