Should go back

Adding to the Lancaster Canal article about moorings. People are coming up from the main system which is good, but it would be great if they went back after visiting, instead of chaining their boats up for weeks on end and catching the train home.

I have seen several boaters do this, especially this main July holiday in Carnforth and Lancaster, moored in prime places.

But the canal needs dredging; it is full of rubbish, and boats are always hitting something in the water.

Fair enough - the towpaths are looking better, but the canal could do with dredging.
