Hirer breaks her leg

A hirer stepping off her boat tripped and broke her leg over the week-end and had to be taken to hospital, Jackie Brown tells us.

This happened as the boat was negotiating Hillmorton Locks on the Oxford Canal, as the lady stepped off her Rose Narrowboats hire boat to take her dog for a walk to the next lock.

An ambulance was called and she was taken to hospital, where she was treated.  It is not known if her fellow crew member carried on, or if the boat was returned to the hire base at Stretton-under-Fosse.
