Camp Hill stoppage worse than expected

THE failure of a paddle at Camp Hill Flight on the Grand Union has been assessed.

It has been found to be worse than expected, Keith Gudgin reports.

Longer to repair

This means it will take longer to repair than first thought, our being told that the local operations team will need to dewater the lock so it can investigate to find the problem.

It was the top end offside paddle at lock 5 on the flight that is broken meaning the lock is impassable.
