AFTER a five years old girl went missing from home on the 23rd February she ran towards the Regent Canal.

Safety barrier along the waterway

And the coroner at her inquest told that a housing association did not act on the recommendations to the housing association on complaints about a safety barrier along the waterway.

St Pancras Coroner, Mary Hassell, told  a report would be to housing association, Peabody, which the inquest heard was responsible for maintaining a safe barrier between homes and the canal, and did not act on complaints about safety.

A temporary structure has now been erected to prevent further accidents.
