Glasson Branch closed again

THE Glasson Branch of the Lancaster Canal is closed again.
This is the second time within two weeks it has been closed, with this time a reason being given. Canal & River Trust tell it is an issue with a head gate that is preventing operation.
No reason given
When it was closed on the 4th of this month no reason for the stoppage was given other than 'vandals', but with it now being stated it is a gate that is causing the problem, it rather looks as though 'vandals' was an excuse, the gate issue then being resolved, but occurring again.
Whatsoever, the team is investigating.
LATEST: the Glasson Branch has now reopened, with the information that 'the obstruction has been removed' from Lock 5.
