Swing bridge repair was not successful

THE contractor, AMCO, was unable to repair Moore's Swing Bridge on the Stainforth & Keadby Canal, so another stoppage is required.

This time the swing bridge will be removed on Monday, 21st November, and as is now usual, will take five days until Friday 25th November to repair and put back into place.

Complete the repair

This is deemed necessary to be able to complete the repair.

During the period we are told that boaters and road traffic will be affected, though it is not stated if the navigation will be closed during the week, though if the bridge has been removed, it seems unlikely.
