A NEW month so a new stoppage.

HolmeLockBut not such a new stoppage for the one at Holme Lock (8) on the Trent has had four stoppages recorded in narrowboatworld!

Ripped out a water pipe

The last one was in April when the contractors managed to extend the stoppage by ripping out a working water pipe!

The image is of the lock having a complete repair eight years ago.

This current stoppage is caused by an 'unexpected hydraulic leak, and though a team has been at the lock today due to circumstances beyond its control, work cannot be completed.

So its gets the dubious record of being the first stoppage of the month.
