More closures

IN ADDITION to the Oxford and Weaver closures, the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal and Pocklington are now closed to navigation.

The Birmingham & Fazeley Canal has suffered a broken paddle at Lock 4 on the Curdworth Flight, closing the waterway, waiting 'to plan a repair', Keith Gudgin reports.

Low water

The navigation from Cottingworth Lock to Thornton Lock is closed on the Pocklington Canal due to low water level, and so to conserve water.

These closures are of course in addition to the two closures on the Oxford and the locks and swing bridges out of action on the Weaver.
