Too many broken collars

I WAS pleased you brought up that about broken collars on lock gates this morning, writes James Henry.

I went on the index and found the list of seven lock collars that Victor listed, and it was a fact, and found even more since.

And the seven were not over years but from March to November in 2020 before coronavirus took over again, which begs the question—why are they allowed to get in the state that they break?

Simple.  No one checking them anymore, so no maintenance.  So we boaters suffer, often for a week for them to be repaired. The list.
