Banning boating made matters worse

THERE is a study here which looks at where you are most likely to catch Covid, writes Ralph Freeman.

Boating banned

Basically if you are outdoors the risk is negligible. So banning boating and forcing people to stay in marinas, actually made matters worse not better!

If one crew worked the head end of the lock, the other the tail end that means they are 57 ft > 72 ft apart; so locking is not an issue as claimed.

Bumps up the risk

It is much more difficult for cyclists and joggers to maintain separation on a narrow towpath.  Plus heavy breathing caused by strenuous exercise bumps the risk up significantly in the above tables.

I don't recall CaRT closing the towpaths do you?
