No river festival for Stratford this year

IT WAS announced on Monday that once again there will be no Stratford River Festival.

A short announcement came from the organisers stating that this will not take place, this year Roger Fox reports.

Roger tells us it seems there are still problems within the organisers and they say they haven’t time to stage the event.

On land and water

It is a very popular event taking place on land and water in early July, but there has been a four years hiatus, and so it was hoped the festival would be staged this year, but it is not to be.

It the past it was staged over three days at the recreation ground opposite the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, with the river being prominent in its activities including the spectacular parade of colourfully decorated and illuminated boats.
