Audlem re-opens in record time

THE repairs this morning to the lock on the Audlem flight have been completed.

The contractors started early this morning (Friday) at 7am to repair the paddle on lock 15 with the notice issued that the repair would be completed by noon, Keith Gudgin reported.

Under two hours

But just before 9am comes a further notice that the repair has been completed—in under two hours!

This certainly is different from the normal repairs that take so long, so perhaps at last those at Canal & River Trust are taking notice of our constant badgering of the slow response, or perhaps it depends on the particular area of administration, as it it well known that some are more 'on the ball' than others.
