One team does but one team doesn't

WHILST one Canal & River Trust team rushed out to clear channels in the recent flood another team had more important work to do.

You will most likely have read how the team looking after the Trent & Mersey rushed out during the recent flood to keep everything clear, the team on the Shropshire Union were alas unable to see to the problems on that waterway.

Channels clear of debris

The Trent & Mersey team kept the channels clear of the debris in the flood water from the Trent at Alrewas right down to Derwent Mouth.

Contributor Amy Dickerson discovered that the team that regulates the flow of water at the leaks and breaches on the Shroppie, were unable to to attend as they were doing more important work—on a hedge laying course!

Amy adds that she couldn’t possibly write down her thoughts on that one!
