Anglers have priority

THOUGH anglers can visit the waterways during this lockdown boaters cannot visit their boats.

Notwithstanding that in this lockdown only essential journeys can be made, Canal & River Trust has seemingly put itself above the governments rules.

Angling permitted

It states: Angling will continue to be permitted on our waterways during the national lockdown in England, as well as in Wales.

The rules from the government are very clear: If you live in England, you must stay at home and avoid travel, unless for work, education or other legally permitted reasons.  Angling legally permitted?

Why not visit boats

Rodney Hardwick asks—Apparently angling has been allowed to continue into Lockdown 2. So why can we not visit our boats?

Good question.  Especially as the boat is a home, and inside well away from other people—unlike anglers who have people passing as prompted by the Trust and less than the two metres.
