Have the Thames and Nene restrictions been lifted?

THOUGH the government has allowed boating to commence after the coronavirus shutdown, there is no information concerning the rivers not under Canal & River Trust's jurisdiction.

The Environmental Agency rivers mostly used by canal users are the Thames and the Nene, but the official web sites show no easing of the coronavirus restrictions, with the latest concerning those two rivers dated the 7th May still confirming its locks and facilities are closed.

No information

The Great Ouse Boating Association gives no information either that the restrictions have been lifted.  There is no information concerning the lesser rivers also under the Environmental Agency's jurisdiction.

We have contacted the various authorities with being either referred to its web sites or told 'it is under deliberation', or words to that effect.

It seems like a matter of 'wait and see'.
