Its staff have told that they have had no wages for four months, but carried on in the hope of receiving payment, but they do not know if they will be able to recoup what is owed.

This is the second time the company, that was founded in 2010, have experience problems, it entering a voluntary arrangement in June 2018 to pay off its debts in a fixed period of time, with Canal & River Trust  owed rent arrears at that time.  The company then traded from both Coventry and Stratford-upon-Avon, the latter being vacated at the end of June this year.

There are two active company directors, David Robert Moore and Geraldine Moore.

Boats removed

The liquidators, Rushtons Insolvency Ltd, are at present clearing out the Coventry office and listing assets.

When the company vacated the Stratford site it had 14 boats that were moved to Coventry, but recently many of the boats were removed leaving just three Excellence Afloat boats remaining in the basin.

The company's website has been taken down and its telephone no longer in use.
