Who would want to moor here?

TWO years ago I raised with Jon Horsfall the inappropriate winter moorings being offered by CaRT, writes Brian Jarrett.

Who in their right mind would pay to moor on remote areas with no facilities within easy reach?

I sent several photographs taken at various 'winter mooring' sites. 

I suggested that selected two, possibly three, boat locations should be made available around the system close to a water point and with a suitable towpath to cope with winter weather and constant foot fall.

I stated that if boaters were seriously consulted suitable sites could readily be identified and offered.
