A missed opportunity

Like several other narrowboatworld contributors I was surprised (actually, in hindsight I probably wasn't!) to read that hire boats would be given preferential treatment in navigating through the partially opened Napton Flight, writes John Howard.

Hire fleets co-ordinated in stoppage

I HEARD directly from CART staff on the Bank Holiday Monday of the incident just 30 minutes after it had happened, and was told that engineers would be on site first thing Tuesday for an assessment of the damage/repair.
