THE obviously terrified cat, Rosie, that escaped from the burning narrowboat last Tuesday (4th) at Hungerford is still missing, with its owners worried about it.
There was no sign of the black and white Manx female on the boat after it was inspected by firemen, so it is believed she took shelter somewhere, Alan Tilbury tells us.
An appeal
An appeal has been made for residents living near the waterway to search outbuildings in case Rosie in sheltering somewhere, as of course it can no longer return to its former home.
Local people have been walking the towpath on the lookout and asking boaters in the area if they have seen the cat, but no-one has any information.
Should any boaters passing through Hungerford see a black and white cat, they are asked to contact Blue Cross.
