That's a big 'un!

IN ADDITION to the usual array of bikes, shopping trolleys and the like, the draining of part of the Regent's Canal at Limehouse gave up something of a monster.

It was a huge 25lb Carp found amongst the many fish that were stunned and moved elsewhere whilst the canal was drained, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Surprised

The team clearing the debris from the waterway were surprise to see such a 'monster' and made sure it quickly went into water after showing it to photographers.

The draining is of course part of winter maintenance that is at present taking part throughout the system.
