Napton Locks unrestricted

IT WAS way back in May that the condition of Napton Locks caused boating restrictions to be imposed by Canal & River Trust, especially the state of Lock 10.

The restrictions meant that the flight was only open during certain times, greatly restricting use of the locks, but these have now been lifted, with the flight open at all times Keith Gudgin tells us.

We are told this is allowed following 'additional control measures and ongoing monitoring', though the lock will be continually reviewed, and there is a request to avoid impact with the approach walls, that were the cause of the problem.
