THERE is to be a Beer Festival at the National Waterways Museum at Ellesmere Port in October, lasting three days.

The festival, organised in conjunction with Liverpool Organic Brewery, will run from Friday 11th October to Sunday 13th October and will showcase no less than 30 real ales and five ciders from across the country.

Live music

On Friday and Saturday evenings there will be live music from Klaus Encounters, a locally based Umpah band and on Saturday, during the day, the museum will have a number of cars visiting from the Veteran Car Club of Great Britain.

John Inch, General Manager at the Museum, explained:

"It is the third year we have run the event and each year has been more successful with more beers and more visitors. The museum is a unique setting so this is a great opportunity for beer lovers to also experience a little bit of local heritage."

Moorings

Tickets are now on sale at the Museum at just £10 which gets visitors to the festival entry to the museum, a programme and enough tokens for four pints of real ale, and moorings will be made available for visiting boats

The festival will be open on Friday and Saturday from 12noon to 11pm and on Sunday from 12noon to 4pm.
