THE police have relaunched their appeal for a man who systematically breaks in and robs narrowboats.

This is 39 years old Allan Campbell who has broken into a number of narrowboats, (Frenzy of break-ins) more recently along the Kennet & Avon Canal, but has previously broken into others all over the country.

Number of police forces

At the moment a number of police forces are wanting to see the man over a large number of narrowboat burgularies and other crimes, including Avon & Somerset, Lancashire and Gloucestershire.  The police have stated that he chooses narrowboats as they can be seen to be empty of occupants and are usually very easy to break into.

He has no fixed abode, and appears all over the country, it is believed, living on the proceeds of his robberies.

He is describes as a tall 6'2", with numerous tattoos all over his body. A previous appeal was made in April, but with no success.
