Cannabis on Broads

OVER 90 cannabis plants have been discovered in a remote part of the Norfolk Broads, and have been removed by the police.

All the plants, measuring up to 8ft high, were discovered at Postwick by the Yare by Environment Agency staff, who though not sure what they were, brought in the authorities, Alan Tilbury tells us.

National Park

The plants were found off a lane that runs through woodlands near the village,  that is extremely remote, and though part of the National Park, is just not visited as no paths go through it.

It is believed the plants came from cannabis that was thrown away, and took root.  This however is not the first time such a find has been made, with plants being discovered last year, though not as tall.
