Teenager drowns in overturned van

A TEENAGER that was rescued from an overturned van that had careered into the Nene later died in hospital.

The girl, 19 years old Natalie Scotchford, was trapped in the van that had plunged into the Nene in Ramsay early yesterday (Saturday) morning, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Arrested

The driver was arrested later on suspicious of causing death by dangerous driving, and has been interviewed by police at Huntingdon Police Station.

It was emergency service workers that pulled Natalie from the overturned Ford van and took her Peterborough City Hospital where she died soon afterwards.
