THE  Environment Agency is keeping up its pressure on unlicenced boats on the Nene and River Great Ouse.

Seven boaters altogether have been taken to court for not having current licences, Alan Tilbury reveals.

All fined

All seven were fined between £100 and £200 after the court heard that fees had not been paid, plus £115 costs and a victim surcharge.

In addition there was compensation awarded from £308 to  £865, making it very expensive indeed for the boaters.
