Email: Live and let live!

Once again narrowboatworld is supporting a campaign against 'continuous moorers' and residential boaters that is based on prejudice and opinionated views rather than facts. [Just publishing your emails—Editor.]

There are certainly some bad boaters about but lets keep this fair and in perspective. I have continuously cruised all over for the last three years (including a lot of time on the Kennet & Avon) and unlike James Henry my cruising has never been 'spoilt' by a continuous moorer.

I can't always moor right outside my favourite shop or pub but can always get close enough. The only problem is in the peak of the summer cruising season when a huge influx of hirers and leisure boaters does cause congestion at some of the popular spots.

However on two occasions I have moored up and a boater has approached me and told me that I must move because 'This spot is reserved for my friends, we are a boat club and we are all meeting here tonight'. This is rude but I am not starting a campaign against boat clubs! Live and Let Live!
