Email: Living on boats

Now that Canal & River Trust have got on top of boat licence avoidance and are putting their efforts into overstaying on moorings, will it then concentrate its efforts on the boaters living on their boats on CaRT recreational moorings?

Maybe some extra revenue could be collected there. From what I have seen, especially in Yorkshire, approximately 90% and in some cases up to 99% of the Trust's recreational moorings are taken up by liveaboards.

Therefore they are in breach of their mooring agreements, and are also getting away with council tax, television licences etc. Usually these same people are the most vocal when it comes to continuous cruisers/moorers, as they say people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
