Boat stolen then trashed

A NARROWBOAT was stolen from its moorings at Tonbridge on the Medway, then later found having been trashed.

With the boat being unoccupied, there was no definite date of when it was stolen from its moorings in Tonbridge, but it was found earlier this month downstream abandoned at Porter's Lock, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Damage

The inside of the boat had suffered over £2,000 worth of damage, including the doors and interior equipment, and the police are appealing for witnesses.

The boat had been moved over two miles to the lock where it was abandoned.
