Email: Waiting at broad locks

Regarding the last photo and comment in the 'Grand Union situation', I sincerely hope the author of this article spoke with the boater to learn how long she/he waited for another boat with which to pair through the locks.

If said boater waited less than ten minutes or so, she/he should be rightly chastised. However, it is possible that the boater did wait and that no other boaters showed up within a reasonable amount of time, in which case I would find the legend 'Yet another boater ignoring the rules and wasting water' harshly judgemental and inappropriate.

If the boater was not contacted, then the legend is clearly inappropriate without knowing the facts.  Keep up the good work!
