BW risking contempt of court

MORE like 'British Waterways shows contempt for customers'.

If British Waterways are found in contempt of court and are fined a hefty sum they will just laugh in the faces of those who have contributed their hard earned cash through licenses and tax, as usual, and pay for it out of the money-pot which should be used for badly needed maintenance, writes Graham Phillips.

Personal fine

Any fine should be a personal fine removed from the salaries of those concerned as I don't see why 'We' personally should be fined and the canal suffer.

Is it no wonder that these people campaigned so vehemently against the Freedom of Information Act applying to Canal & River Trust.

Carry on as usual

Mr Dodwell please please see sense and get these people removed from their positions of authority. If they are happy to ignore FOI requests they will have no problems ignoring what any committees or councils recommend and 'Carry On' as usual stroking their own egos and lining their own pockets.

[In a snap narrowboatworld poll in December, the simple question was asked—Should Evans, Hales & Co remain in office when British Waterways becomes Canal & River Trust?

It was a plain Yes or No answer. Within just the three days only 83 agreed that they should remain in office with a landslide 3742 saying they should go.]
