Email: The right of others

Published: Friday, 30 September 2011

I too share the views, without exception, expressed by Anne Sibley in her email 'Trying to give help' earlier today.

Personally I do not have a religious conviction, but in the same breath I do hold dear the right of others to have and keep their own beliefs.

I would like to add a few words of support for the work that Captain Jenny Dibsdall is setting out to undertake. I knew Jenny from her time with the SA when she was based in Hayes, Middlesex.

In all my dealings with her I found her to be an honest, genuine and caring person, who always put helping others first and foremost. Never once did she approach any issue from the point of making a convert or talking about the 'Good Book'. She did however always try her very best to help people with the basic problems that happen to all of us, regardless of religion, at some point.

I say 'more power to your elbow Jenny'.
