Four dead at canal bridge crash

FOUR people were killed in a head-on car crash at Greets Green Bridge over the Walsall Canal at West Bromwich in the early hours of yesterday morning. (Sunday.)

The police state that three women aged 28, 35 and 40, and a 21 years old man were killed out of the eight people travelling in the cars, with the four remaining being injured, Alan Tilbury tells us.

The crash happened at just before 1am on the Sunday morning, and such was the impact of the crash that both the Citroen Saxo and the Ford Fiesta are write-offs, with people having to be cut out of the wrecks.

Two of the people were declared dead at the scene, with the other two dying in hospital.
