A WOMAN WAS PULLED from the Bridgewater Canal where it joins the Irwell last Saturday the 29th.
With the emergency services at the scene at Keslo Place, Keith Gudgin reports.
She was alive when she was pulled from the water, with medical personnel attending and she was then transported to hospital.
Incident not confirmed
The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed but the area around the canal was cordoned off with forensics working.
Though taken to hospital she then sadly passed away.
This is the third drowning last month with a person pulled from the Severn on the 22nd. And a woman pulled from the Thames early in the month.
